Fabricated sterling silver ring set with a piece of Libyan Desert Glass. This rare material is found in only one remote area near the Libyan/Egyptian border. It is associated with an ancient meteorite impact dated around 29 million years ago. The top of the ring measures about 1 3/4 inches by 1 inch. The ring shank is about 1 3/4 inches at the top and it tapers to 1/2 inch at the bottom.
